A Wondrous Tale
Workshop on creating connections*

“Where stories spark connections”

In a world of endless meetings and surface-level conversations, genuine connection can feel rare at work. A Wondrous Constraint uses the timeless power of storytelling to break through the ordinary. In this playful, interactive workshop*, participants co-create folk and fairy tales from prompts and structures that spark imagination. What begins as a creative exercise quickly becomes something deeper—stories become bridges. Teams uncover shared values, build trust, and shift the way they see each other.

Learning Outcomes
-
Build deeper connections. Storytelling fosters vulnerability and authenticity, creating bonds that go beyond typical team-building activities.
-
Strengthen empathy and perspective-taking. Storytelling requires stepping into different characters, situations, and viewpoints. This imaginative process sharpens empathy, helping participants better understand and appreciate their colleagues’ diverse perspectives.
-
Reflect on change in personal and professional life. Folk and fairy tales often mirror the challenges and transformations we face in our own lives. By crafting and sharing these narratives, participants gain space to reflect on transitions, growth, and resilience—both individually and as a team.
-
Reframe work as a means for growth.

These reflections become metaphors that help staff reframe change not as a threat, but as a natural and even empowering part of personal and professional journeys.
